North East Summer Slam
Northeast Summer Slam is back for 2024!
This event will consist of open card-based qualifying and PAPA style match play finals. During open qualifying, each player may purchase as many cards as they like to attempt to qualify for the final rounds. A point system is used to rank each player’s score on each machine. Those who possess the highest ranking cards at the end of qualifying will participate in the match play final rounds. 24 finalists will move on to finals. In the event of less than 48 players, the number of finalists will be adjusted accordingly. Additional side tournaments will be held all 4 days.
Open & Women's Divisions
There is no pre-registration, and this event is cash only.
• The door fee is $20/day or $50/4 day - this is the standard WMPC door fee and goes straight to the club for operating costs.
• Qualifying tickets to the North East Summer Slam can be purchased on the day of at the check in desk. All tickets can be used on any ticketed tournament - open division or women's division.
• The first ticket is $15, $5 going to operational costs and $10 going directly to the prize pool and trophies.
• All subsequent tickets are $10 each, going directly to the prize pool.
• Unplayed / Incomplete / Voided cards will not be refunded—please plan accordingly.

Women's Division
This event will consist of open card-based qualifying and PAPA style match play finals. Knock Out Tournaments
Thursday & Friday Evening @ 18:30
In the group knockout format players are grouped into 3 or 4 player groups. Each group plays a randomly assigned game. The top two players in each group remain safe. The bottom two players, or last place in 3-player groups, are knocked out. After each group has played a game, everyone is randomly regrouped and the format repeats.
Thursday Night Knockout - $10 ($9 to prize pool, $1 to IFPA)
Friday Night Knockout - $20 ($19 to prize pool, $1 to IFPA)
Saturday Match Play
This event will consist of 4 rounds of group match play using swiss pairing, with no finals. The first round will consist of 4 games, with the remaining 3 rounds consisting of 3 games each. Rounds will be scored using 7/5/3/1 scoring. Players will be expected to arrived at their assigned games promptly at the scheduled times. Any changes to this schedule will be posted and/or announced.
Round Schedule:
10:30: First Round- 4 Game Bank
12:30: Second Round - 3 Game Bank
14:45: Third Round - 3 Game Bank
16:30: Fourth Round - 3 Game Bank
Tournament Fee: $40 ($39 to prize pool, $1 to IFPA)
